Bertha Coombs is a general assignment reporter for CNBC, covering financial markets and business news stories throughout the business day programming. She is based at the network's global headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, N.J.

Her reporting at CNBC has ranged from coverage of the spying scandal on Hewlett-Packard's board and the criminal trial of former Tyco CEO Dennis Kozlowski to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and Mississippi, and the BP oil spill. She also serves as a substitute anchor on business day programs, including CNBC's "Worldwide Exchange," which is broadcast live from Europe, Asia and the United States.

Before joining CNBC, Coombs was a freelance anchor and reporter at CNNfn, and served as a financial markets reporter with Yahoo Finance Vision, which had been an online TV network.

Prior, Coombs served as an ABC News reporter and anchor, covering news stories for "ABC News One," and serving as a substitute anchor for "World News Now" and "World News This Morning." During her tenure at ABC News, she covered leading news stories such as the Clinton impeachment trial, the Kosovo crisis and Hurricane Floyd, as well as anchored the network's first special report on John F. Kennedy Jr.'s plane crash.

Coombs began her career in local general news. Her previous experience includes reporting and anchoring positions at WABC-TV in New York City, WPLG-TV in Miami and WFSB-TV in Hartford, Conn.

She is a member and former board member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. Born in Havana, Cuba, she speaks fluent Spanish.

Coombs earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Yale University. Following graduation, she was the recipient of a Leo Beranek Reporter Training Fellowship.

Harold (Terry) McGraw III is chairman, president and chief executive officer of McGraw Hill Financial, a leader in credit ratings, benchmarks and analytics for the global capital and commodity markets. The McGraw-Hill Companies was renamed McGraw Hill Financial in May 2013 after the sale of McGraw-Hill Education. 

Mr. McGraw was elected chairman in December 1999; chief executive officer in 1998; and president and chief operating officer in 1993. He has been a member of the Company's Board of Directors since 1987. As of November 1, 2013, Mr. McGraw will continue as Chairman of the Board of Directors, while Douglas Peterson will succeed Mr. McGraw as President and Chief Executive Officer. 

Under Mr. McGraw's leadership, the Company has grown significantly and continues to increase shareholder value. He has transformed the Company by exiting slower-growth businesses and investing in fast-growing, high-margin franchises, such as Standard & Poor's Ratings Services, S&P Capital IQ, S&P Dow Jones Indices and Platts. Since he became CEO, the Company has increased adjusted operating profit at nearly a 10% annualized rate and returned in excess of $13 billion to shareholders in the form of dividends and share repurchases. 

Mr. McGraw, 64, joined the Company in 1980 and has held a number of positions with increasing responsibilities, including vice president, Corporate Planning; president, McGraw-Hill Publications Company; and president, McGraw-Hill Financial Services Company. 

He serves on the Boards of Directors of United Technologies and Phillips 66. Mr. McGraw is chairman of the Emergency Committee for American Trade, chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce and a former chairman of Business Roundtable. In 2009, he was appointed by President Obama to the U.S.-India CEO Forum and is chairman of the U.S. Trade Representative's Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations. 

Consistent with the Company's commitment to supporting community and charitable organizations, Mr. McGraw serves on the boards of Asia Society, Carnegie Hall, Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy, The New York Public Library and the Partnership for New York City. 

Mr. McGraw received an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1976 and a B.A. from Tufts University in 1972.

Tom Nides is a Managing Director and Vice Chairman of Morgan Stanley, a leading global financial services firm. He focuses on the Firm's global clients and other key constituencies around the world, serves as a member of the Firm's Management Committee and Operating Committee, and reports to Morgan Stanley Chief Executive Officer James Gorman.

Prior to rejoining the Firm in March 2013 in his current role, Mr. Nides was Deputy Secretary of State, serving as Chief Operating Officer of the Department. Appointed by President Obama, he was confirmed by the Senate on December 22, 2010 and sworn in on January 3, 2011.

Previously, Mr. Nides was the Chief Operating Officer of Morgan Stanley from 2005 to 2010. He was an executive officer and served as a member of Morgan Stanley's Management Committee and Operating Committee. Before joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Nides served as Worldwide President and Chief Executive Officer of Burson- Marsteller and as Chief Administrative Officer of Credit Suisse First Boston, the investment banking division of Zurich-based Credit Suisse Group.

Mr. Nides began his career on Capitol Hill, as Assistant to the Majority Whip of the United States House of Representatives and Executive Assistant to the Speaker of the House. Mr. Nides later served as Senior Vice President of Fannie Mae and as Chief of Staff to the United States Trade Representative.

Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Nides served on the Boards of New York Cares, the Urban Alliance Foundation, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association and the Advisory Board of the National Zoo.

Mr. Nides, a graduate of the University of Minnesota, is married with two children.

Mr. Ryan is the Global Head of Regulatory Strategy and Policy at JPMorgan Chase.  Prior to joining JPMorgan, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of the Securities and Financial Markets Association from 2008-2013. 

From 1993-2008, Mr. Ryan was Vice Chairman, Financial Institutions and Governments, at JPMorgan where he was a member of the firm's senior leadership.

Prior to joining JPMorgan in 1993, Mr. Ryan was the Director of the Office of Thrift Supervision, U.S. Department of the Treasury.  As OTS Director, Mr. Ryan was a principal manager of the savings and loan cleanup which involved closing approximately 700 insolvent institutions, improving capital bases and selling over $300 billion of assets.  Mr. Ryan was a Director of the Resolution Trust Corporation and a Director of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.  From 1983 to 1990, Mr. Ryan was a Partner in the Washington, D.C. office of the law firm Reed, Smith, Shaw & McClay, where he headed the Pension Investment Group and was a member of the firm's Executive Committee.  From 1981 to 1983 Mr. Ryan was Solicitor of Labor, U.S. Department of Labor.  Mr. Ryan is a graduate of Villanova University and American University Law School.   He served as an officer in the U.S. Army from 1967 – 1970.

Mr. Ryan has served as a director of Lloyds Banking Group, Power Corporation of Canada, Power Financial Corporation, and Great-West Lifeco Inc. from 2009-2013.  He was a private sector member of the Global Markets Advisory Committee for the National Intelligence Council (NIC) (2007 to 2011).  He served from 2000 to 2004 as a Board Member and Chairman of the Audit Committee at Koram Bank in Seoul, Korea and served from 2001 to 2012 as a Board Member and Chairman of the Finance Committee for the US Japan Foundation.
